We're now counting down the days to Who Do You Think You Are? Live and it promises to be another great show at Olympia, London, continuing its reputation as the premier genealogy event for all family historians worldwide. The celebrity guests have all been announced and the major exhibitors are all confirmed - including S&N Genealogy Supplies and TheGenealogist who will be located in the usual prominent positions by the entrance, as we are every year.
For those that haven't bought their tickets yet, the show opens on Thursday 20th February and closes on Saturday 22nd February with daily opening times from 9.30am to 5.30pm. The celebrities appearing at the show include newsreader and TV personality Natasha Kaplinsky on Thursday, actor Larry Lamb on Friday and athlete Colin Jackson who will be there on Saturday.
The Friday celebrity interview with Larry Lamb will also feature the series creator and executive producer, Alex Graham, and some of his production team who will reveal their highlights over the ten years that the show has aired on BBC. Larry's story (from the series in 2011) is quite extraordinary - his family search was worldwide and included ancestors that were Lion Tamers! As well as the celebrity interviews, there will also be a number of free talks available over the three days. The S&N 'Genealogy Tutorials' stand (at Stand 910) will again be hosting popular free talks designed to help you with your family history research. Mark Bayley, Head of Online Content at TheGenealogist, will be presenting his renowned talk 'Breaking down Brick Walls in Your Family History Research', and Celia Heritage, professional genealogist, speaker and author, will be providing two popular talks entitled 'What can I find online?' and 'I can't find my ancestor in the BMD Index'. There will also be a talk on getting the best out of the new RootsMagic 6 family history software, and a look at the new image based record sets available in the free Image Archive on TheGenealogist.
S&N Genealogy Supplies will be next door to the tutorials stand, with their ever expanding range of binders and archival products to help preserve your research, documents and memorabilia. The new range of Slide, Film and Negative Scanners and the popular Flip Pal Mobile Scanners are ideal for storing your photos and negatives for generations to come, and will be available to view and purchase. Combined with an extensive range of software, CDs and books, the S&N stand will offer all you need for your family history research with its biggest ever range of products!
On the other side of the Tutorial stand will be TheGenealogist. You'll be able to see the huge volume of record sets added in 2013 and there will also be three major launches at the show and a new app! Visit us on stand 810 for more details and to find out what other exciting news 2014 holds.
